(Rent)Strike The Superbowl: Minneapolis Renters Going on Strike Ahead of Superbowl

Today, renters across Minneapolis are announcing the largest rent strike in recent memory to fight for safe, affordable and dignified homes for all Minneapolis renters. Thousands of renters across the city are living without heat in the dead of winter, with mold, roaches and other poor conditions, and are facing some of the fastest rising rents in the country.

Now, ahead of the Superbowl renters are taking a stand to say Enough Is Enough!

Led by Inquilinxs Unidxs Por Justicia (Tenants United For Justice) the #IXRentStrike is part of the growing movement in Minneapolis and across the country to win rent control and homes for all. Minneapolis renters are showing us all the way forward, and the kind of bold, direct action we will need to change the system and win a more just housing system.
